A lifetime commitment to self-discovery and service to others led to my work as a mental health therapist. I have completed a number of specialized trainings and worked in schools, hospitals and mental health clinics. Most recently, I completed an intensive psychodynamic therapy training fellowship at the Karen Horney Clinic, where I continued to work as a therapist following completion of the program. While I draw from a variety of clinical or theoretical frameworks, I have seen the best results through long-term psychodynamic talk therapy.
I received a Master's in Social Work focusing on clinical mental health treatment in 2014. From 2014-2015, I specialized in working with children with severe emotional disturbance and school problems as a fellow in the Yale Child Psychology Program. between 2015-2020, I worked in rural and urban hospitals as a clinical social worker in their mental health units - learning to better serve those in crisis and those experiencing severe mental health emergencies.
In additional to mental health training, I have a background in mindfulness and meditation practices, yoga and spirituality. Prior to working in the mental health field, I spent time as a community volunteer and served populations struggling with homelessness, domestic violence, hunger and serious mental illness.
It is my greatest privilege to create a safe and supportive environment for anyone seeking help - that they may better grieve, grow, heal and thrive. To better connect with yourself and your relationships with other individuals and society at large is our ultimate goal.
